Hyderabad: Covasant Technologies has inaugurated a new AI Innovation Center at Atria, International Tech Park, Hyderabad, marking a major expansion of its global footprint and a significant boost to Telangana’s deep-tech ecosystem. The facility, launched on Monday, will initially accommodate 500 AI engineers, with plans to scale the workforce to 3,000 by 2028.

The centre is dedicated to advancing agentic AI, a rapidly emerging class of autonomous AI systems designed to solve complex enterprise challenges. The company aims to help global organisations adopt these solutions responsibly and at scale, supported by strong governance and enterprise-grade guardrails.

The innovation centre was formally inaugurated by Telangana IT Minister Duddila Sridhar Babu. Sanjay Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, and Sai Krishna, IT Advisor to the Minister, also attended the ceremony. The opening marks a key milestone in Telangana’s efforts to position Hyderabad as a global hub for responsible AI innovation.

Covasant’s AI Innovation Center adds a powerful pillar to our deep-tech landscape,” said Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar. “With strong talent pipelines, policy certainty, and a collaborative ecosystem, Hyderabad will continue to emerge as a global destination for scalable AI innovation,” CV Subramanyam, Cmd said.
